STEN is pleased to announce that we just held our first quarterly membership meeting on Thursday, January 16, 2025. There was a lot of excitement about the promotion of STEN and the advancement of sewage thermal energy. Members and guests in attendance included the STEN board of directors, DC Water, NYC-DEP Energy Office, King County Seattle, WA, City of Toledo, OH, Noventa Energy, Huber Technology, and Ever-Green Energy.
We would like to thank Ever-Green Energy President and CEO, Luke Gaalswyk for presenting information regarding their involvements with operating reliable, efficient campus and community sewer thermal district energy projects as well as their federal funding experiences. It was informative and engaging. Based in Saint Paul, MN, Ever-Green Energy provides more than 40 years of operations and management capabilities with wastewater heat recovery projects across North America.
The
Sewer Thermal Energy Network is increasingly prepared to contribute to major improvements in sustainable urban development, leveraging advanced technologies and industry insights to drive the adoption of heat recycling around the world. With each new network member, we are advancing our goal of transforming urban heating and cooling systems, showcasing the power of collaborative innovation in making a tangible environmental impact.
The Sewer Thermal Energy Network is a US based international member-supported 501(c)(6) organization, dedicated to advocacy, education, information dissemination, capacity building, and networking opportunities for industry leaders, municipalities, and wastewater utilities, and academics. We help communities and businesses discover the potential of unused resources with the utilization of freely available heat contained within a sewer system for the heating and cooling of the built environment, from a single building to a whole district.
Future Membership Meetings will take place quarterly on the third Thursday of the month. As a STEN member, you’ll join a group of the most influential professionals in the industry - leaders and decision makers who are working together to shape the future of sewer heat recovery solutions.
